A Fancy and a Fun Thanksgiving

As you know, little Nicholas is in Montessori School.  This year, like every year they had an annual Thanksgiving Luncheon where the children take part in preparing a lunch for their families.  They chopped lettuce and veggies for salad, cooked butternut squash soup, mulled apple cider, the Kindergartners made bread, and they prepared a floral centerpiece: it was IMPRESSIVE (and freakin' cute!)

I signed up to bring two desserts: sweet little Thanksgiving cake pops and mini pumpkin pies.  Both were a hit, but, not surprisingly the cake pops were a smash hit.  Another mom from Nick's class loved them so much, she placed an order for 3 dozen on the spot- yay!  Such fun!

Pilgrim hats, scarecrows, tee-pees, turkeys and acorns.

After making cutesy little treats for Nicky, for my mom's Thanksgiving dinner I went all Martha Stewart using her Pumpkin Mousse Tart recipe.  IT. WAS. DIVINE. So fancy!

Everything from scratch: chocolate graham cracker crust, pumpkin mousse, and whipped cream rosettes!
Bam- gone all Martha Steward on yo' a--!
